It Began With a Lot of Flights to Japan
Lori spent years flying to Japan to visit her son, and somewhere in all those trips the planning stopped feeling like admin and started feeling like the point. Working out the rail routing, the neighborhood worth staying in, the ryokan worth the extra night: that was the part she looked forward to.
After a long corporate career she made it the work. Her daughter Kylie joined on the marketing side, bringing a fresh perspective to how the agency talks about itself, and the two of them built Travel 2Borders into what it is now: a team of 12 planners spread across the US, each with their own destinations they know first hand.
The agency has grown, but the way a trip gets planned hasn't. One planner takes your trip and stays with it from the first call to the last night, with the rest of the team reviewing the work along the way.

You pay us a flat planning fee. Everything else is quoted at what it actually costs, so our recommendations aren't shaped by what pays best.
Best Value, Not the Biggest Commission
We look for what fits your trip and your budget. One recent itinerary earned us $113 in commission, paid only after the clients got home. The planning fee is how we get paid, which is exactly why we can be honest about the rest.
No Hidden Markups, Ever
Flights, hotels, transfers and activities go on your card at their real cost, so you can see what every part of the trip is worth. Flights are booked direct with the airline, never through a third-party reseller.
Flexible Where Flexibility Is Possible
We aim for refundable options wherever they exist, and we'll tell you plainly when they don't, so you know which parts of the trip are locked in before you commit to them.
Someone Answers While You're Away
Clients reach us on WhatsApp or email while they travel. One recent flight cancellation was rebooked before the clients had landed, with a refund secured on the tour they missed.
