Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all travel planning services provided by Travel 2Borders, LLC (“Travel 2Borders”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a woman-owned and veteran-owned travel agency based in Beaverton, Oregon, and an independent affiliate of Travel Leaders Network. By booking a consultation, paying a planning fee or asking us to make reservations on your behalf, you (“you”, “the client”) agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before working with us.

1. Our Role

Travel 2Borders acts as a travel planner and booking agent only. We research, design and coordinate your trip and make reservations on your behalf with independent third-party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, rail companies, transfer providers and activity operators (“Suppliers”).

We do not own, operate or control any Supplier. Each Supplier’s own terms and conditions, including its cancellation, change and refund policies, apply to the services it provides, and your contract for those services is with the Supplier.

2. Planning Fee

We charge a flat planning fee for each trip. Planning fees typically range from $650 to $995 or more, depending on the length and complexity of the trip. The exact fee is agreed with you on the first call, before any work begins.

  • The planning fee covers the initial consultation, research, your custom day-by-day itinerary, booking assistance, unlimited revisions before the itinerary is final, and support through your return home.
  • The planning fee is separate from the cost of your travel (flights, accommodation, tours and so on).
  • The planning fee is due before planning work begins and is non-refundable once work has started, including if you later cancel or change your trip, or decide not to travel.

3. Payment for Travel

We do not add a markup to hotels, flights or other travel services. Travel costs are charged at cost, directly to your own credit card.

  • Once your itinerary is confirmed, we will send you a secure credit card authorization form and a traveler information form. We use these only to make the reservations you have approved.
  • Flights are booked directly with the airline, not through a third-party reseller.
  • Deposits, final payment dates and payment schedules are set by each Supplier. We will tell you about these dates, but you are responsible for making sure payments are made on time. A missed payment may result in the Supplier cancelling your reservation and applying penalties.
  • Some Suppliers pay us a commission after you travel. This never affects the price you pay.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Giving us accurate and complete information for every traveler, including full names exactly as they appear on passports or government ID, dates of birth, contact details and any special requirements.
  • Reviewing every itinerary, quote, confirmation and document we send you, and telling us promptly about any errors.
  • Holding a valid passport (many countries require at least six months’ validity beyond your return date), and any visas, entry permits, health documents or vaccinations required for your destinations and any transit points.
  • Checking current government travel advisories and entry requirements before you travel. We can point you to official sources, but entry rules change and final responsibility sits with you.
  • Arriving on time for flights, transfers, tours and other services.

5. Changes and Cancellations

Changes by you. We will help you request changes to your bookings wherever possible. Any change fees, fare differences or penalties charged by Suppliers are your responsibility. Changes after your itinerary is final may, at our discretion, involve an additional planning fee, which we will agree with you in advance.

Cancellations by you. If you cancel all or part of your trip, the cancellation policies of each Supplier apply. Many travel services are partly or fully non-refundable. Your planning fee is non-refundable once work has begun.

Changes or cancellations by Suppliers. Suppliers may change schedules, routes, accommodation or services, or cancel them altogether. We are not responsible for these changes, but we will do our best to help you with alternatives. Any refund or compensation is determined by the Supplier.

6. Bookings You Make Yourself

If you have booked any part of your trip yourself, before or during our work together, we are happy to plan around it. Those bookings remain yours to manage, and we are not responsible for their accuracy, changes or cancellation.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every trip, including cover for trip cancellation and interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation and lost baggage. Our travel insurance partner is Allianz Travel Insurance, and we are happy to provide a quote.

If you choose not to buy travel insurance, you accept responsibility for any losses that insurance would otherwise have covered. Insurance policies are contracts between you and the insurer, and claims are decided by the insurer.

8. Support During Your Trip

While you travel, you can reach our team by WhatsApp or email during our business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific Time). Where we can help remotely, we will do our best to do so. Some situations, such as last-minute airline disruptions or issues that must be handled directly by a hotel, airline or other Supplier, will need to be resolved with that Supplier while you are traveling.

9. Travel Risks and Limitation of Liability

Travel involves risks, including natural disasters, weather, strikes, political unrest, illness, pandemics and other events outside our control. We are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, damage, delay, expense or inconvenience caused by Suppliers, by you or your travel companions, or by events beyond our reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount of the planning fee you paid us for the trip in question.

10. Information and Descriptions

We take care to make sure the information we share is accurate, but descriptions, photos, prices and availability come from Suppliers and may change without notice. Prices are not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed and paid.

11. Website Use

The content on this website, including text, photos and design, belongs to Travel 2Borders or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only, and we are not responsible for their content.

12. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon, unless the law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version shown on this page, with its “Last updated” date, is the version that applies. The Terms in place when you paid your planning fee continue to apply to that trip.
